OS and most applications/games are suddenly unbearably slow

Hi all. Suddenly most of my 3D games are really slow (even WoW classic takes 6 minutes to boot up!), as well as software (BattleNet launcher, Steam). Slow as in takes minutes to boot up (compared to seconds normally) as well as hanging up with "not responding" and slow on loading content, and in games I get stutter once they slowly booted up. The entire OS feels sluggish, it's like PC barely manages to run it without bigger hick-ups, but chokes on games. Installation of software seems slow, downloads in chrome are slow to finish (when virus scan is run on them, I guess). Even restarting system is slow, despite it being on SSD.
Relatively new build, I'm on a Ryzen 2700 and GTX 1060/GTX 770. I first thought it's a bitcoin miner, but the GPU/CPU usage in task manager is completely normal. Tried benchmarking with CPU-Z thinking something wrong with CPU, it performed alright. Power settings are on performance what I can see. HDD/SSD read/write speed is normal.
It feels like the CPU is operating at like 10% capacity, which is barely enough for browsers and some simple games/applications, rest hanging up. What can this possibly be, and how do I go about troubleshooting this?
Already tried:

Edit: Solved, seems my overclock settings were at fault.

All programs/games are suddenly slow?

Hi all. I'm on Windows 10, and suddenly started noticing that most of my 3D games are really slow (even WoW classic takes 6 minutes to boot up!), as well as software (BattleNet launcher, Adobe Premiere). The entire OS feels sluggish tbh, but it's like PC barely manages to run it without bigger hick-ups, but chokes on games. Even restarting system is slow, despite it being on SSD.

Weirdly enough, system seems to run fine in safe mode.

Continuous Pool Disconnection & 0 Mh/s Speeds

What's up internet/fellow miners. About a week ago I've made the decision to turn my gaming PC to a mining rig. I've had some success solo mining with nicehashminer (Bitcoin miner) but decided that it would be better to mine Ethereum. I've followed the guide and kept coming across these issues. . . I don't know if it's because my config files are whack or another underlying issue.
(EDIT) Connected to us1.ethermine.org:4444 now i'm getting different issues. Here are my most recent logs.

How best to track bandwidth/performance issues?

I am having extremely frustrating issues with my home network as of late that I'm just not sure how to properly track down. I apologize in advance for the blocks of text, but reddit markdown makes me want to kill kittens.
It began with frequent stalls/buffering while streaming Hulu. It happens on both my wired desktop, and my android app streaming to a chromecast device. Lately I've also started occasionally seeing notices on my android device that say my wifi network has no internet access. Those notices do not last long, and seem to resolve themselves on their own.

I pay extra for higher speed, and every time I test the speeds (I use speedof.me most often, but I've also cross-referenced with several other sites) I get 80+ Mbps down, and 12+ Mbps up. Which is of course way more than enough for smooth streaming, even on multiple devices simultaneously which I'm never doing. The desktop I'm using should also be more than powerful enough to handle heavy use while also streaming. It's got a 6 core 3.6 GHz processor, 16GB of RAM, a GTX 770 with 4 GB onboard (my 1070 died and thanks to bitcoin miners I can't afford to buy another right now), and everything running on a 256 GB SSD. I've just replaced my modem with an SB6190, and my router is an ASUS RT-N66W. The router is several years old I know, but unless its hardware is starting to fail, it's more than capable of handling the loads I require.

So, firstly what I'd like to do is have real time monitoring of my bandwidth capabilities. That way I can tell if its comcasts fault, having intermittent drops that I just don't seem to catch when running tests. I'm not really sure how to go about it, but obviously testing the router in some fashion would be a good check off the list. Lastly, some performance monitoring on the desktop so that I can tell if the old GTX 770 is starting to fail and causing at least the problems on the desktop.

The problems with streaming are the worst with hulu, netflix and others sometimes aren't awesome but their issues are nothing compared to what I experience with hulu. Through my research I've found that hulu, and least used to, not use buffering at all. To me this seems hard to believe, but given the issues I'm experiencing feels possible. However, with the speeds I get, even being dropped to 10% capacity should still be enough for a smooth stream. So, I feel like there must be somewhere that is experiencing moments of complete failure. I'm just not sure how to reliably track it down.

If there is a different subreddit where this question would be better posed, please feel free to point me there. I thank the responders in advance for their insight.

Hard To Justify

After 3.5 years in the master race my GTX 770 that started my PC gaming experience has died. I'm not in the same financial state as when I started so I was thinking $200 is the max I will spend on a new card. Can someone explain to me what Bitcoin mining is? You can't find cards for their actual MSRP because the stocks have been swallowed by "miners" it's hard for me to justify upgrading when this is a problem.
TL;DR what is Bitcoin mining and your thoughts on it?

Is mining off a gaming computer a bad idea?

AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor CPU SPEED: 4.31 GHz SYSTEM MEMORY: 8.48 GB VIDEO CARD MODEL: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 VIDEO CARD MEMORY: 4.23 GB
Never mined before, interested in mining. Is it worth the time or is it too saturated at this point. How much can I expect to mine per year in comparison to a bitcoin optimized gpu miner. Is it better to mine with CPU or GPU?? Could my Hardware be damaged etc

Cpu spikes at random times, Task manager fixes the problem for some time.

Hello, I have a problem with my recent build, 1 month ago the computer was just fine, then tried OC but I messed up the bios, so I had to take in/out the Mobo battery for the bios to roll back, and when trying to boot windows, failed and couldn't be repaired. Installed a fresh windows 7 and installed all drivers normally, 2-3 weeks ago every game would start to lag 2-5 minutes of playtime, then I found out that opening task manager and clicking on the process fixed the lag completely but 2-5 minutes later the lag would happen again, just for me to go to task manager to do the same thing again. I have looked for a fix on google with no luck, i have been paying attention to task manager and have noticed Huge Cpu spikes when playing resource hungry games. If anyone can tell me how to fix this i would be very thankful. Sorry for my English.
My specs;
Edit: In the spikes the processor cores can reach up to 75° C (167° F) But now i can see that the Graphics card temperature is really high reaching 81° C (177° F) Before re installing windows I didn't have problems with temperature.
Edit 2: with alt-tabbing out of the game, the lag goes away, 2-5 minutes later the lag returns
Found out the problem! i had a bitcoin miner installed that was causing the problem, thanks for the help

[USA-VA] [H] EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked 2Gb ACX cooler with Backplate [W] Trade (look inside for info), Paypal, Bitcoin

I have an EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked 2GB ACX Cooler with backplate either for sale or trade.
http://imgur.com/xr8XNnZ

Here are the retail values for these 2 items:

Newegg listing for GTX 770 (currently out of stock) / $359.99
EVGA Backplate for 770 / $19.99

Total Retail value: $379.98

This card is in brand new condition, in its original packaging, with all the accessories, and has never been used for mining or anything else besides gaming (and not much at that).
Paypal/Bitcoin: I am looking to get $320 for it + shipping, either on paypal or the equivalent in Bitcoin. This is negotiable, of course.
Trade: Radeon graphics cards (7950, 2x 7850, others), and on the off chance that anyone has some USB Bitcoin miners, then those. I know this isn't likely, but I can hope, right?
I have more pictures if people want to see it running, etc. just without timestamps.

GTX 770 2GB or 4GB?

Wondering if spending the extra money for 4GB will be worth it at all. Currently, the most demanding games I'm playing are BF4. I wanted to get a R9 280X, but the Bitcoin miners have those prices way to high, and gtx 770 seems to be as good or better for games. Anyone have any real world data on 4GB be needed?
EDIT: I'm gaming at 1080p BTW

[Discussion] Coin Mining & Maxwell 800 Series Prices

With the release of the GTX 750 and 750 Ti we have our first look at the Maxwell architecture and how it performs. But like many others I was worried to see that these cards are actually very good for mining Litecoin, Dogecoin etc. They draw very little power and don't generate as much heat as AMD cards, even now in February Newegg can't keep AMD cards in stock and are selling them way above MSRP. This is not just a Newegg problem but now AMD cards seem to be worth their weight in gold. Nvidia is now taken the budget crown and buying a GTX 770/780/780 Ti is actually cheaper and faster than getting an AMD card equivalent.
Are the days of cheap graphics cards a thing of the past? Also will we see Crypto-miners move over to Nvidia once the 800 series is launched? Will GPU based mining ever become non-profitable like it did when the Bitcoin craze died down?

[Build Help] 280x I ordered is actually out of stock. Need help deciding which graphics card to get.

Okay so I ordered a 280x on the day of black friday. However, the payment didn't go through, but the order was placed. I paid again, but by that time, the lite/bitcoin miners had gotten to the 280x's and they were all out of stock. The retailer I bought from told me that they would ship me one Jan 2nd. However, I already have all other parts of my PC, and I would like to build (and game on c:) my computer ASAP after finals. Do you guys think it is worth it to wait for the 280x? Or should I get a GTX 770, or even shell out 200 extra dollars for a GTX 780? I don't think its worth buying a 280x from another retailer as of right now, because they're pretty much out of stock all the time anyways, and when they aren't they're $70+ more than what I paid originally.
Thanks for the help!

GTX 770 4gb vs GTX 780 3gb?

Since bitcoin miners bought every AMD card on the planet apparently, I've narrowed down my search for a GPU upgrade to these two cards:
Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB - $390 http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GDDR5-4GB-WINDFORCE-Graphics-GV-N770OC-4GD/dp/B00CU9GOAO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
EVGA GTX 780 3GB - $500 http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperClocked-Dual-Link-Graphics-03G-P4-2783-Kdp/B00CTY84KI/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1386470614&sr=1-2&keywords=gtx+780
My current system is a i7-930, 6GB ram, Radeon HD 5870. Basically, I'm looking for a card that will allow me to play the latest games on a single 1080p monitor at ultra settings for the next 2 years (I'm waiting for the successor to Haswell-E to build a brand new system). So I have some questions:
1) I like playing modded games like Skyrim and probably GTA V when that hits PC; is the 770's 4GB of vram an advantage in that respect over the 780's 3GB?
2) Is the 780 overkill for my stated purpose?
3) The 770 has a 256-bit memory interface while the 780 has a 384-bit. Does that matter at all?
4) Which card should I go with?
